Best Lunch Spots Near Vantage Collection in Jersey City

Looking for a new favorite brunch spot in Jersey City? Here are three great places to check out this week.

Mathews Food and Drink

Address: 351 Grove Street

If you’ve been to Mathews on Grove Street, then you’ve likely already seen the elaborate drink menu, featuring cocktails like Fall In A Class, made with amaretto, lemon, black walnut bitters, and Downeast cider. There’s also the 80’s Glam, which is made with gin, lavender syrup, passion fruit, egg white, and edible glitter (that’s right). Learn more about Mathews in Jersey City.

Fire & Oak

Address: 479 Washington Boulevard\

Fire & Oak is truly a great place for brunch. Serving up delicious favorites like Steak and Eggs, Pan Seared organic Salmon, Cast Iron Buttermilk Pancakes, and Fried Chicken and Waffles, there’s also tacos, soups, salads and warm donuts. But the best part about Fire & Oak has to be the cocktails. Here the mimosas and the Bloody MAry Deluxe, served with smoked bacon, are extra fresh and thankfully strong. Of course, if you’re dining with friends, be sure to order a bottle of champagne with your choice of two juices ($25). Learn more about Fire & Oak.

Buddy’s

Address: 247 Washington Street

Are you a lover of pancakes? Perhaps even a pancake connoisseur?

Well, we’ve found the perfect place for you! Buddy’s Brunch Burger Bar is well regarded as one of the best, if not the best, places in Jersey City for pancakes. But it’s not the Apple Cider pancakes, nor the Cinnabon pancakes that have JC locals talking (although both are exceptionally tasty). Here at Buddy’s it’s the Cereal Pancakes that keep everyone coming back for more.

Each served with vanilla syrup, powdered sugar and an additional drizzle of caramel, raspberry or chocolate, Buddy’s cereal pancakes are covered with your choice of Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cap’n Crunch, Reese Puffs, or Froot Loops. Learn more about Buddy’s.
